Thumbs up

I like Dave's choice if your building a spinning stick but if your building a conventional stick I would recommend a blank with a more moderate bend to it. My conventional eeling stick is a Lamiglas SMB 1083 which is an S-Glass blank. I like this blank because you can really lay into the cast without the fear of casting the eel off the hook or backlashing the reel.

I also have the 1088 in spinning configuration.

I dont know where you live but if you would like to check out either of these rods you are more than welcome to contact me and we can make arrangements to meet up.

Another note. Both of the above blanks are 9' ers.
If you would prefer a 10' stick another great choice is the Lamiglas
GSB 120 1L . This blank is quite a bit more $$ though!
