yes, the GPS will tell you what direction to go, but not whats in front of you...like the Point Judith Light or Jamestown. I have a marine GPS with All charts overlaid. As well as Radar. But more importantly I have fished this area all my life and get get to BI and back like going to the store for milk. However if you want to make the trip make you can navagate without the electronics...dead reckoning.
