I thought this would be my year to start getting more lunkers b/c I've been doing more with live bait and getting some good action, but I haven't been able to get the big one in the boat.
With all the bait I've fished, my biggest came on a ledgerunner 6" smoke... 40" 22 1/2lbs... one of the harbor islands in the rocks
Lots of mid to high teeners, but I haven't gotten the next class up I'd expected...
I lost what I think was my biggest fish ever a few weeks back though, I wanted to throw up when my line snapped. It was definitely my biggest fish of the last couple years.

So far in my most dismall first half season ever , my best is 39 inches , roughly 26 pounds. Nice fat healthy body with a bashed in face , almost dolphin headed but not a birth thing , a definite injury at some time in its life.

If you've ever caught salmon, then you'll know just how hard they fight......amazingly strong fish.
