"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

I have no BM qouta.... never enough BM merchendise! do you have BM t-shirts
as for your blue squid, yes I have it in my plug bag at all times.... I have to admit I havent quite mastered it yet, but at the rate it sinks (is it suppused to sink? ) i have just the place to scrape the bottom for some fat bass who like the deep water. Its very versatile though... thrashes around on top, and you can give it a belly scratch on the bottom...
tattoo.. i was teasing spence, he never made a squid.
