I've played a LOT of omaha hi/lo on partypoker. Like you, I staked my bankroll at the lower limits, and honed my skills there. I haven't played in months, but I was playing mostly 20-40 in my heyday there. I think I won about 10 k total. Got burnt out though, and haven't played much over the past year. I did try and win a seat at the WSOP for a while unsuccessfully.
Take a look at cardplayer.com - they have great poker strategy and thinking articles for free in the magazine section. I learned a lot from that site. It helped me jumped from a break even player to dominant at the higher levels.

I played a lot this past winter. Did really good in some of the Partypoker tourneys. Took 10th out of 1700 people and 27 out of 1800, then everything went down the tubes. For the 6,000$-7,000$ I won, I lost another 3,000 after I got "the bug"
One word for that stuff, "soul cancer", takes my mind of the important things in life.
Wouldn't mind playing some poker with some of the guys on this site. At least if we lose we know the money is going to be used for fishing related schtuff:-()
Whos up for a NL poker game, maybe 50 dollars in a piece to start?

I'm in for a game sometime.
S-J, I agree on the cancer of the soul aspect. I definitely went on a few marathon sessions when the wife was out of town that I'm not proud of. Those are some great tourney results. I had a few good showings in tourneys as well. However, there's not that many Omaha 8/b tourneys.
