What's Biggest Fish You've Released This Year?
Just wondering...
My biggest so far was 30# - and it was a b*tch. Hooked her on a live eel about 2 AM off some rocks that offer damned few places for a graceful landing anyway - and Uncle Zeke had the flat part of the rocks - so I got her in with one korker wedged in a crevice for leverage and my back against another rock. Thank God I was using the big glass Lami -
There was a real good swell running and I had to surf her over a short ledge - the fight beat us both up pretty good. Tried to revive her for a while and released her in a tide pool to see her swim a coupla feet and go belly up - so I jumped in after her.
Swam her around for a while in lazy circles until she recovered and then let her go and watched her swim out of the tide pool and back into the surf - that was pretty cool - then me and Zeke had to beat feet the hell outta there since the swell was sweeping over the rocks and through the only exit in the tidal pool.
I know DZ has caught and released 50's from the surf - so maybe we'll hear from him -
How about anyone else?

42" last weekend. Held her by the tail for a minute or two to revive her. It felt great to feel her power come back and her eventual kick out of my hand. My biggest so far. She had a big head and pretty good gut, I'm guessing about 29 lbs.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

47" Similar story, rocks, good swells also surfed it up a small ledge to land it and held my ground to take the time to revive a tired fish.
