NIB yes it locked up on me on 2 occasions. i never knew about the oil trick until toby told me a few weeks ago, so that could have been the trouble. I fish with a tight drag and it doesnt leave much room for error.... who knows it could have been my fault.. I will say that i always have to adjust the drag if it gets wet or if it gets foggy as the washers expand with moisture...
