No we just kept 20 and gave to others who just got a few that's to much blues for us and the DEM will bust our butts if we keep all of them.

It's unbelievable men they were boiling and jumping by 3pm and stops at 7pm right on the shoreline. I never seen this too much blues since I started fishing.
But still no striper waaaahhhhh!!!!!

Bud but that picture is wrong....you and 2 other guys, that means ya can keep what 30? There are over 30 fish in that photo. Why keep them if you aren't going to eat them? What just to say" Look at me". I am not a C&R zealot or anything but that brings back memories of years gone by. Even though it is a blue ya could have put a few back

It's not what you think man what we got was 29 this picture is just a merge of the two shots I had on my digital cam using photo stitch you can see the position of the fish and the knife.
I should have mention it on the begining. I will not catch more than were allowed to and the DEM were all over the place also.

Got Smoker?
Looks like it to me. A couple years ago, got into a blitz, couple of guys I know said keep them, we got a guy who smokes them, needs them all, (he has a big following, and a demand for them). We had a fillet party, gave all the racks to a lobster guy, fillets to the smoker guy, no waste, every body got some smoked fillet in return
and man, did I stink for a week!

I just brought six at home and my pals kept the rest of them so I'm guessing I'll have fish for a week.
I tried to stay after the school of blues like for an hour but no sign of stripers maybe next time.

If those are rotting in a dumpster somewhere you did a bad thing... 30 8lb bluefish is close to 100lbs of meat... what a waste...

Just dont see the point in keeping that many fish....I can see a few but what you are you gonna do with 30 bluefish?! I see this all the time and its kinda sad....Most fish totally go to waste. Im a little bias maybe beacuse i am strictly C&R with my fish. I got no problem with people keeping some fish, but that many? Damn man, i hope you left a few for me to catch in the next few weeks. Just becaue your allowed to keep a certain amount of fish doesnt mean you have too! The fun part is catching them not seeing how many i can keep to impress my buddys.

Yes in the dumpster is a bad thing.. They go better in the garden!
just kidding!!!
3 guys 29 blues... that 9.66666 blues each... multiply that by 7 estimate weight per fish (looks like more 5-6#'s and that one or two that's pushing low teens) then take 55% away as unusable.. that how much meat give or take a pound they ended up with. about 30#'s of fillets each... dunno about the rest of you guys but my family is a little large and 30#'s of fillets goes quite quickly...
But since everyone see's this as bluefish and not COD fish because to alot blues taste like Arse because most don't know how to prepare/cook them they feel it's a waste... LOL
I this was 29 codfish between 3 guys some people would have said that's all?

I count over 40 fish in the photo. I'm all for keeping some for the table but, to me, it's just a waste of a natural resource.

hey didn't you read it guys we gave it away and just kept 20 if you haven't read the first statement. I also told the first statement that it's a merger picture just look on the picture on ehat I'm saying. I'm not keeping all of them I gave them to some of my friends and 2 of my pals gave it also to some of their friends.
What the heck I'm tired of explaining nobody is ever satisfied on any answer don't worry this is the last blue fish I will ever kept.

No, that is not one pic, he explained its actually two pix put together of the same pile. Probally is really only 29 fish, not 40, still a waste though. Im sure he wont do it again , after hearing all our opinions on it, just over exited , ive been there before myself.
