Nice Fish!!!

Sunday night @ dusk I caught a fish along the south coast with almost those exact same measurements in the rough water using a polaris popper. I think the girth on mine was like 21 inchs roughly and length was 40 &3/4". Weighed 24lbs.

Big fish for 2 hours this morning between 3:30 and 5:30 AM. Biggest was 40" 21.5#. A bunch in the 30 to 32" and 4, 34"or better. Only kept the 21.5. Had 2 small lobsters and a bunch of half disgested baby bunker in it's gut.

No boat, back in the suds.

I am predicting they will start showing around here about Nov1, but if they are still there now....Man I could still be fishing in late Dec!!!!!

One crab claw and small bones and a lot of partially digested something( bait fish I guess ) can't make out what but they were small.
She had a 25" girth.

Awesome fish.

Is that a StradicFH 8000FH reel that I see near that striper?

Tell me, how was the handling of the reel when you brought this fish to shore ?

THX

It handled it easily, wish I had my 9'er instead of the 10' where I was fishing.
