Hi #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&,

Please forgive this ol’ Senior NewBee for what is probably a dumb question but… I have to ask… What is a Plugfest? Swap, trade, sell?

Thanks, Al

P.S. = This symbol is called "confused"...it doesn't take much these days.

I am in total agreement. To be honest, it does not mattet to me. MacoJoe makes a good point, it would be good to have later in the winter - when the dulldromes have set in.

Can I ask a silly question??

What is plugfest? If it is a get together to chew the fat about plugs, swap war stories and maybe even purchase some of those sweet plugs I am in.

The cool thing is that I just found out that a person I work with has all of the tools to make wooden items and is offering to show me how to use them. Maybe I can convince him to use them to make lures. I always wanted to try to make my own since Bomber took the props off of the bomber longA and you could not modify the new style of lure by adding a prop on the tail without cracking it....damn plastic!!!

Technically it is called "Plug Feast"! We all get together....trade, show, swap, sell, barter, ho, give, steal, and talk plugs! Some of those in attendance will do demo's on lathes and such and we all sit around and talk plugs! We all also bring food as it is as much a pot luck as it is a good old fashioned plug "ho" down! Everyone brings a dish....chicken wings, meatballs, chili....etc. and we all chow down all day and have a great old time! Last year was my first and it was a blast....I learned an awful lot in a few hours with some of these gifted guys!

I think just after New Years is the best time....last year I think we had it on January 3rd?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Thanks Capesams,

Count me in as a potential plug customer. I am truly a NewBee, just picked up my new stick from CMS this afternoon. Went out to my field and threw a few plugs around. Works good. Now to take it fishing.

I stopped fishing around 25-30 years ago when the Stripers mostly went away and other things took precident. Now at 65 I am a "born again" Bass fisherman. Never relized how much I missed it.

Al
