The show of great sportsmanship.....
I heard on the radio this morning reports from sox fans in St. Loius complimenting the Cardinal fans, who treated them with respect and courtesy. It reminds me of the Toronto fans that I used to see at Fenway years ago, that were polite and courteous even when they were losing. The Card' fans openly admitted that their team had been beaten by the better team, which I doubt the Yankee fans would ever admit.
I hope this is the start of a recurring trend.
Remember the years when we had Bruin and Celtic champs on a frequent basis? Maybe it's the Sox and Pat's turn?
I love sports in New England.

Every Boston team has beaten St Louis for a championship.
Celtics beat the Hawks (57)
Bruins beat the Blues (71)
Patriots beat the Rams (02)
Red Sox beat the Cards (04)

It's true, the Cardinal fans are among the classiest in all of sports.
I noticed after the introductions before Game 3 (I could have done without the organist playing the Budweiser jingle all the way thru the Cards' intros), the announcer called for a round of applause for "The St Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox". Little thing maybe, but not many clubs would do that.
And the ovation at the end of last night's game couldn't have been all Boston fans applauding the Sox.
