Hey everyone

Hi everbody, well we have sadly returned from fishing paradise on MV. The fishing was great, alot of speed demons this year, and alot of great fisherman companionship. Had the most wonderful sunrises and sunsets, and mostly good weather thru out the 3 weeks that we were there. Not alot of big bass to be had when we were there, but they should be rolling in now with the weather dramatically changing for winter. YUK!!! Hope everyones fall season has been going well. As for the tally on the fridge here is how it went down, 181 Albies, 11 Bonito, 35 stripers, 50 blues, 5 fluke, 10 sea bass, 14 spanish makerel, over 200 squid, 3 sand sharks, numerous snagged bait fish, 9 skates, 1 mailbox, 1 sprained knee from near fatal boat outing on the Alternative as we went over a 20ft wave only to find alot of air on the other side and dropped straight down, ye ha!!!!
1 old mans chin, which was caught at wasque beach as the lure came flying out of baitcasters albie's mouth in the surf and flew very swiftly like a bullet in the air only to catch one of the 2 genltemen that were standing directly behind him as he was fighting the fish. He was sent to the hospital for lure removal and was doing just fine the next day. Then there are what I call the "EEL SLEEPERS"
but you will have to ask John R about that one, tehe!!!!! All in all we had a great time and fortunatley all returned home safely. As for squidmama and Rollie they are still slamin them, Squidmama was kicking ass the day before we left with 3 albies in about a 1/2 hour, she got one in, made a cast and was on as soon as she turned the crank of the handle wham again. Life is good, hope all of you that made it over had a great time, we sure did. Tight Lines everybody.

Glad to have you back, though I'm sorry your trip is over. Sounds like you had a great time.

Haven't got out much in the last few weeks and I'm pretty upset. A combination of bad planning, late tides and rough seas have kept me beached.

Looking forward to getting out this weekend down in Rhode Island.

I hope you two are planning on joining us. If not, we'll get together soon.

Hi there Schoolie Monster, glad to hear from you, we missed you on MV, don't really know much about the fishing local, we are planning on trying to get out on the boat tomorrow and do some scouting this week, maybe we can hookup soon, don't know about this weekend, may be headed back to MV on Sunday for the awards cermony if my albie holds up on the board. Won't know if does until Sat. night, so we probably won't be able to make it this weekend, but would like to know the details my self, maybe I can get down there for a while and meet some of the crew and learn some new spots, have only fished down there once, and there are some beautiful spots down there. How is the wife and little one doing? Hope to hook up with ya soon, maybe one evening we can all try that spot again that we fished that night with John R, should still be holding a few luckers if this weather didn't screw too many things up. keep in touch!!!!!

Hi Schoolie Monster, we missed ya on MV. Haven't heard much about the last few days in the local area with all this cold weather, but we are going to take the boat out tomorrow and do some scouting around the rest of the week, maybe we can hook up some evening or maybe hit that spot we fished with JohnR & you some night this weekend. Don't know about RI, may be headed back to MV if my albie holds out till the end of the derby, it is still in the lead for the all tackle devision, so time will tell. But would like to get the details on this weekend down there anyway just in case I can sneak away for at least a little while, and hopefully get to meet some of the gang and learn some new spots to fish, have only had a chance to fish down there once, it was last year about this time, and there sure are some beautiful spots down there, so time will tell. Keep in touch and maybe we can hook up before the season is over!!!!

Hey Juls. I'll reply to the "eel sleeping" tomorrow )... The derby site, updated end of last week, shows that your still leading overall albies!!!! If you get a key and win the package, maybe we can work out a deal 8)... Here is the link to the derby stats \http://www.vineyard.net/org/mvderby/10-7/107overalltop3.jpg

Hey JohnR, hope you are well rested, tehe!!!!!
Seriously Baitcaster & I hope you had a great time, I checked and of this morning the fish is still leading, but I don't think it is for the key, just rod & reel & tackle, not really sure how it all works, was just glad to hook into such a great fish!!!! Am still trying to recover from all the lead slinging, and am pretty sore. Hopefully there are still some big bass around, we will be going out tonight or tomorrow and do some scouting, we will let ya know whats happening. How is the wife feeling & the house thing going? Hang in there it will all come together soon.

Thanks FW... Gwen is doing fine, still a little stressed. We don't know if we are closing tomorrow or not. If not, next week sometime ... I just want it to be over with...

Hope you find some nice fish this weekend. They are still out there
