Thinking of heading down to RI tonite
Anyone else heading out?
I've only fished down there once and it was from a boat in the Weekapaug to Watch Hill area. Not sure exactly where I'll end up but am going to try a few areas starting in the Charleston vicinity and then working my way down to Watch Hill. My plan was to fish thru the night, perhaps leaving my house after 8-830pm.
Didn't know if anyone was interested in hooking up and possibly fishing together? If so, post a reply or PM me. If not, no problem either.

Update:
Unfortunately we didn't do too well. Met up with Rappin Mikey around 9pm and we fished a handful of spots up until 330am with only a few taps to show for it. Wind was really howling down there.
Then met up with ThrowingTimber & Blackeye around 4am. Fished a few more places and landed a couple of blues amongst the four of us, no striped ones.
Great meeting you guys and maybe next time well run into some fish. Thanks again for the plugs. I'll consider it a "volunteer" ho and hopefully return the favor shortly.
PS - On my way home I swung by the Pt Judith area and saw some birds working/diving consistentlly around 150 yards off shore. Only person there and even with a 4oz hopkins, I couldn't even come close to them.

Fished all morning in Newport. At one spot had two hits and then a seal showed up.
Went to another spot got one runt.
Not the day I had hoped for.The wind really put a damper on things.

Was in the area last night. Not even a bite. The wind was vicious. I lost my favorite Salty Bugger plug along with 50 yards of braid.

The forecast never really paned out the way it was supposed to.
I was going to head down to the ocean state today also, but when I saw the wind I figured I'd rake instead.
Now I have sunday to go out.
I am assuming you guys were somewhere around so. county???
Anyone going out this sunday?

Fished Charlestown Beach and East Beach yesterday (Thursday) Nov. 11th from 3-8 PM.
Caught only a few shad on teasers. (My God Shad are a messy fish to unhook and release!)
Birds were working beyond casting range. However, I'm pretty sure the fish under the birds were SHAD, not stripers or blues. I've seen this before many times in the late Fall in Rhode Island. There is a distinctive way the terns and gulls hover over feeding Shad.
Hoeever, there are still bass in South County. Saw one guy leave the jetty around 7:15 P.M. with a 33 (?) inch bass, caught on eels. Only two guys fished on the Charlestown Breachway jetty after sundown. I fished the beach.
