Schoolies are the last to come throught except for the really big girls. If you are very dedicated and want a really big cow, late Nov and early Dec is the time. Brutal weather but there will be a few big fish till Christmas.
Iknow a guy who fishes the Channel in December livelining Shad. He uses a 7' Tuna blank with a big Shimano boat reel. Every year he takes a 40+ around Christmas.
2 years ago a couple of the Narraganset sharpies found a school of 15 to 20# fish on Dec 15th. I took an 18# fish last year on Dec 18th in Narragansett.

No boat, back in the suds.
