Large striped bass have already migrated south of Norfolk, see the following link;
http://www.oregon-inlet.com/journal/....cfm?ccat_id=1
I also attached a link to a local newspaper in that area, see;
http://home.hamptonroads.com/stories...68660&ran=1319
I've been trying to fish down in this area for 2 years now sometime during january but it hasn't happened for one reason or another. I have access to a beachfront condo too, what a damn waste. Maybe this year.

I am not sure about Norfolk but when I passed over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel last week there were at least a couple hundred boats into bass, they were busting with birds on them all over.

You can always hit the new BassPro Shop there for Xmas buying if the fishing stinks. On the eastern side of the Bay/bridge/tunnel is a spot called Fisherman's Island I bet there is something going on there. It's a beautiful spot. Last year in August I stopped there on my way across the bbt and watched Dolphins attacking large pogies right in the surf while the Pelicans had a field day grabbing the one s washed up on the beach. I sure wouldn't mind being there right now.

Why even try.........

I didnt get into Norfolk till late. We hit the bay bridge tunnel pier in the middle of the day not really expecting to catch anything and didnt.
but it was gorgeous out.. and there were TONS of boats out there, so the fish must be out there somewhere.
