I thought i was the only one that works til 1 am, then gets back up at 530 to start all over again.

Look nice
Have you done the flatwing tails before? For me they foul on a fly rod a lot. Though I do kill the smallies in Lake Champlain tribs in the spring with them.

Flatwing tails
Not a lot of problems fouling on the fly rod. Overline the rod one or two weights and slow the casting stroke down a bit. That helps a lot.
Jury is out with them on the plugs. Have a friend up here who swears by them as a tail on a plug.

i like it when the tail is bigger than the plug 
i made one stubby needle last year that had the tail longer than the plug, loved the action, but i lost it on a %@$%&*! bouoy
the 1st one looks like a sure thing?

no prob using it as a teaser. i used teasers alot last year with the spinning gear. I use 'em on the fly rod nearly all the time now
