its called
poor mans fertilizer in SPRING.....although it's a bit early to entertain that IDEA.....still as i pour over my gardening catalogs: knowing that i'll be planting sugar snap peas on Saint Patricks DAY ....helps to deflate the winter madness.
Dont forget to buy some suet for the birds as the little ones need some fat to survive the onslaught of winter. During the Blizzard of 05 we sat and watched a Weasel pop his head up out of the snow.....submerge and then pop back up twenty feet away....where they must have got "pop" goes the weasel song from.... but also watched small birds literally being frozen to death from exposure hanging from one leg off of a branch and then falling into the snow.
