Spence, it wasn't (isn't) uncommon for gays to go overseas on sex junkets. Younger boys (who may have been infected...how I don't know) were often frequent targets. It doesn't help when you leaf through an older gay-friendly tour guide and find references to "getting young boys for the price of a cocktail" in exotic countries.
I read stuff like the article above (on resistant HIV strain) and it makes my blood boil. Gays, having brought the disease here, playing an important role in spreading it here, and then not putting a lid on the spread NOW after all that has been said and done is just unconscionable.
