skunks

Anyone else seeing them out lately?
We have had a few near my house the past few days.
Whats up with them out in the middle of Febuary!!!
Something in the environment throwing them for a loop!!!

They been getting faked out with some of these warmer days and nites. Did you know skunks can have up to a dozen different colorations aside from the standard black and white? They can also barely see more than 10-15 feet.

In the almost 17 years I've lived on Long Island, I've never seen (dead or alive) or smelled a single skunk.

Effin' raccoons up the wazoo, but no skunks.

Arrow MIKE P

you are one LUCKY son of a GUN to make such a claim....

at my former residence i had an all out war with skunks...and had many days of being fumigated with skunk oder .....and i was shooting at them and missing (darn it) ....then one day;

as i sat on my back porch early in the morning having coffee
i saw all this shimmering on the ground and wondered....what the hell is that anyway? and using binnoculars i noticed that it was 7 baby skunks emerging with mom for a breath of fresh air.... and i said: " thats IT !"
thats all i can stand ...i cant stand NO more !
i ran out there and chased -em down that hole and then grabbed the freakin garden hose and shoved it in there and turned it on full blast.... and in about ten minutes all those friggan skunks came outta there soakin wet and left the neighborhood - once and for all - to my utter JOY.
