I'm going to have them in the shop this spring. I'm looking foward to taking a real close look at them. I'm always suspicious of new gear. These reels sound pretty well tested though.

Yes they have aqualungs. Never had a problem with mine after dunking it multiple times per trip.

I didn't see the 4500 in my last catalog, just the 4000. It looks like you can find them quite a bit cheaper if you shop around. 6 months to pay is nice, but not if you can save 15% IMO.

Like I said in your other post, I fished a Saltiga 4000 and Saltiga 4500 last year (same reel with different size spools) and had NO problems at all. They are still like new. That was the first year I had no reel problems, including the previous 2 years when I fished a VS150 and VS200.
Also like I said, you can find them MUCH cheaper than at Bass Pro. PM me or talk to Toby about other places to find them cheaper.

Who has a source for those nice looking colored spools for the saltiga's thats in America. Everyone I found in in Japan.
