I saw that OTW said there once was a time when there was a bounty on them. $5 for each nose you brought in.

...AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahh......the good ole days.

Alas, the fun ended in 1962.

I actually duck hunted with an ole timer (who has since passed away) who told me about seal hunting in MA. He said that the buggers sink like rocks - that from a boat, you'd have to shoot them and then harpoon them before they sank. He also swore that they'd eat downed ducks if you didn't retrieve them quick enough (although I've never experienced that yet). He also told me about the bounty he used to collect!

Something has got to be done.....My brother lives in Idaho and the analogy to the wolves is right on.

All I can say is if any seal comes near my new #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& needlefish....well....that will be self-defense!

before anyone calls the EPs....I AM JOKING.....

Jim
