I am intrigued by their new VS line of reels. Its the only reel in their line that has a 5year warranty.

I spoke with someone in customer service and they will be offering a larger size reel in that line suited towards surfcasting.

I figure with the warranty and the under $200 price tag I'll give it a shot.Either it'll work out or it won't.Either way I'm going put it to the test and report back here on a regular basis.Lets just hope they introduce this larger reel before the season really gets underway as a full season test is the only real way to gage if its going to be a decent reel or not.

2 AV50's on second season no problems... Held up well all season on large blues and good sized bass.

i have 2 eb 80's and been using them for a couple of years now and love em!there cheaper than the shimano baitrunner and hold more line.you cant go wrong for the price.i paid 80.00 for mine.hey for that price,if something goes wrong, trash it.it also comes with an extra spool and a reel bag.i love the bait runner feature and wont use nothing else.

I have two EB80's and I think they are great. They are used for throwing eels. The bait runner feature is a very useful device. This will only be my third year with them, but I woul highly recommend them. I bought them on a recommendation of a charter boat skipper from the Cape who owns many and has no complaints.

I own 3 AV50's and the only problem i ever had with one was swimming back to shore with it under water then setting it down only to have my buddy knock it into the sand. Cleaned it out the next day, a little bit of oil and no problems.
