IM GLAD yOU HOOKED UP, that plug is killer and works awsome in a swell with crappy weather. I did the olive and gold ,I think it was like 2002 or 2003 cant remeber but i got 17 bass in late may on it, 4th week in may all nice fish.
I still have 1 in my bag that is messed up from fish and rocks, its next to a f'd up surf howdy, why bother taken them out there only gonna be used in a few 3 weeks or so.......
I may fish some of my wood i made in the early 90's this year also. poppers polaris type. cant wait to wire the surfsters they have action to die for. it really paid of on tweaking them wich for the most part was lip style.
You reach a point where You cn take a hunk o wood and get a feel for it and know what is right for the wood.
the pics dont do them justice as they have a blend so smooth yet keeps You wondering how the hell He did it...
P.S. I have a purple hue also , its a true BM PhatBoy . I have some wood that is light and will maybe turn soon even though 3 or 400 blanks are hanging around. I need to make some BM squids as I know they will waste fish no doubt.
thanks for the kind words, Im glad to be able to fish and have nogen power to make wood
in the late 80's early 90's I only knew 3 people that spun wood. 2 was from falmouth and 1 was My neighbor after I got him into it (he had lathe and I was sick of paying 7 bucks for gibbs poppers
a Buddy of Mine got me into it and I still have some of his work
