120 1M or Arra 1205 are ideal, in graphite 10 footers. It works well on any 11' stick.

Can you still buy the 1266 anywhere? I like All Stars oversized guides!

Lami GSB132L blank! 3 1/2 oz is gonna be the most you can toss with it. Get a 100g Yo-Zuri Surface Cruiser and watch it disappear(still attached to the line of course)

there are many blanks to choose from, but you did not give enough information. do you prefer glass, graphite, or does a composite sit well with you? where will you be fishing? will you be in an inlet or a place like the canal? do you prefer one-piece, 2-piece or does it not matter? is there a reason why you want 10'-11'?
typically, a rod is built starting w/ where and what you will be fishing for. then, your expected size you plan on catching. then, what are you throwing with it, low end, high end, etc, etc. the list goes on. the reel only comes into play when you decide on your guides and line, at least for spinning.
there are a couple mentioned in this thread already that may be what you want.

Mike,
Between the arra1205 and gsb1201m what are your thoughts on which would be
better doing some chunking or eeling with a vs250 or Sustain 8000
Thanks

Rod Choice
Afterhours, Your lure choice is the optimum weight performance for the XRA 1205 10' or the XRA 1322 11'...The 11' will achieve more distance but the 1205 is a better all around surf rod. Ron

1205 for the weight you mentioned if you are going heavier go with the 1201M
