From a freshwater perspective, I've had some fun these past couple of weeks with my son. Some bass, pickerel and trout.
Saltwater is another story. I've tried a few local rivers with no luck but it sure was nice getting out there in your waders and taking a few casts. Going to try again this weekend but will be heading much farther south to concentrate on some rivers and salt ponds.

so far i have put in 20 minutes of serious fishing (not plugtesting) and came up with 3 schoolies. Schoolies on a 10 ft surfrod arent too exciting

Anyone catching anything on the Jersey Shore yet? I haven't been out...working on the boat. Hoping to get on the water next weekend.

I have been catchign raibow trouts and yellow perch and sunfish. When do largies and smallies show up? I want to catch them. They are thrilling to catch, but not as good as stripers. It calms my mind because I have been Thai boxing and studying. I need to get out and kick back soon.
