What do you want to do more of the same?

Do you have a goal of where to fish or how many to release or size?

Me, I want to have some more fun, get my family involved more, but also do some more productive fishing at more productive times.

And I want to fish Cuttyhunk and Block again. And of course, The Derby

So what's up for the Season??
Different ? Fish more like I did from 1991-2003. Last year I dragged along a buddy and he wasn't up to it. Didn't have the same "cast a million times" attitude that I have. It works and you guys know it. last year I git lazy and it showed. 2 fish 30-35 #'s and that was it.....

I gotta fish harder this year, eat more bass. be a caveman. it is fun

I want to fish B.I. from the shore, hopefully hook up with someone who has before.
I want to fish with more guys from the site.
I also want to land a big fish in the canal.
And catch on my own plugs.

spend more time with my liitle kid..growin up way to fast.

get some things done around the house like painting the outside.

get to DQ more when the wife isn't watching.

do somemore pond fishin. L.M. on little gear.

maybe break my butt again at the ditch a few more times.

keep making more an better plugs.

I would like to sharpen my Bass skills. I do ok but I am not a pro!

I want to get back to fishing for fun!

I have been doing it commercial so long that I have forgot how much fun I use to have!

Just fish and have a good time! I have had such a hard winter I really need some R&R!!

I have payed for 10 weeks of camping this year in Warham 6/27 to 9/5, I will have my boat with me and plan on having fun with famiy and friends.

I gotta catch me a squeteague this year, come hell or high water.

I wanna catch the world record Tog. God I love those Tog. You know they sleep upside down, right?

I would like to catch a bluefin on light spinning gear this year. Might invade RI myself and hit the mudhole this year to do just that.

I would like to piss less people off, and would like to have a few Tog over for dinner.....

In general, I want my fishing to be more productive. I have to move around more looking for fish instead of being lazy. I want to get back to hiking the beaches at night slinging eels. And I'd like to chase the sbft again this year. Wire ling jigging at Billingsgate gets old quickly.

My plan

To put my 7 year old son Raider Leo onto a bass eclipsing his last years best
(of 19bs) wire line jiggin by himself with no help other that me netting the fish! I didn't have as a member of the MSBA juniors yet, so the fish couldn't be entered for the clubs derby!
but he is a member now!!!
Getting Leo a cod eclipsing his last years best of 24 lbs in over 300 ft of water
on a jig (NOT bait), again with no help other than me gaffing the fish next to the boat!
Both at 6 years old!!!
Getting my other son, 4 year old Matty his first keeper bass, blue & cod,
all from the boat of course!!!

My plans for the coming season will be pretty much like last year's - although I do want to start keeping a log.

The only other thing I'll be doing is trying to keep an eye on the great influx of guys threatening to come to RI

Ahhh...they're probably headed for SoCo ...that's where all the damned fish are anyway....

I really want to fish more than I did last season and hopefully fish smarter too. I want to hone my fluking skills, get a couple more funny fish but most importantly, but MOST importantly, I really hope to get a bluefin into my boat!

This will be my first full season with a boat, so when the weather is right;
- fish the Elizabeth Island shoreline
- fish monomoy area
- fish mv, concentrating mostly on gh corner
- fish between plymouth & canal

From shore;
- fish the canal as many times during the week b4/after work as possible
- fish chatham area, including monomoy as long as rules don't change

For both, include my son, brother, father and friends whenever possible.

Keep a detailed log book with more than the date/time fishing.

Catch more on my own wood and wood I have acquired.

Catch my first bluefin tuna.
Fish the Oak Bluffs Monster Shark Tourney , but actually get some points this time.
Get on the main leader board at the MV Derby, not necessarily be there at the end, but just get my name up there for a time.
Catch my first 40.
Attend a couple more MSBA meetings than just 1 or 2.
Learn from all the experts on SB.com.

I'm not even going to say "I want to fish from the surf more this year" 'cause its pointless. It won't happen.

Learn a couple more of the boston harbor islands inside and out. Get better at finding bait and bring along some eels for backup.

Fish a little deeper structure and rips to try and get a few bigger fish.

Flyfish some more.

Get my dad a nice bass (20lbs+)

Get along better with my daughter when she comes out (I lost a little patience with her at times last summer).

That should be good. I like to do a variety of things fishing plastic, topwater, flies and bait. Just keep getting better at all of them. Stay versatile.

Good luck everyone... can't wait to get this season rollin'.
