Took my son out today
We put our boat in and I took my son out for a few hours this morning, I think I threw everything in our box at them but nothing after a few hours. We fished Providence River and made run into the Barrington & Warren River.
I did mark fish though so I promised my son another try at his 1st bass tomorrow.
Wish us luck !

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Got to the water around sunset and caught a good dozen or so in less than 40 minutes last night.

Finally rid myself of the skunk last night after work. Fished an outgoing tide at a favorite river of mine and caught quite a few schoolies between 14-20 inches. Boy did that feel nice.......
