Ronnie I have the Linksys wireless G with speedbooster 2 1 brand new and the other used, cards and the disc with instructions when you are ready, CHEAP!! I think it costs me $ 70.00 All you will need is the Linksys router. My son F'ed with my laptop and damaged it so that I cannot use the ports so I am Cat5 to the router and stuck to a desk and refuse to spend any money to fix the problem

Docking station
If your sticking with Dell, look into a docking station for all of the cable connections to the laptop. You can make all the connections to the dock and when you need to go just remove the laptop, no messing with cables everytime you need to disconnect/reconnect. You can hook up a full size keyboard so when you're home you can type a little easier on the bigger keyboard. On the link below just check out the docking brochure. Oh yeah, I am not a spammer.

Generally all wifi routers will work in or around ones home, if it doesn't, take it back and get one that does - just make sure you SECURE THE NETWORK...Otherwise someone WILL take advantage of you.
I have been using my neighbors connection for years, and used his pc's as a remote storage device, none the wiser...
