and as far as spawning & spring fishing / I fish very few rock piles if any // mussels beds yes / but I ahve a few spot that are sans , sand , sand ,,
the best day I can remember having // we had soooooooo many fish in the fish bags that the old Portuguese fisherman use to use that we could not get the boat out of the water // we were fishing crystal clean water / straight sand //I don,t think we lost one rig to a hangup///

oh /did I say I never use crabs in the spring // no rocks ,no structure , nooooo chogies // no need for crabs //// plus they are spawing & the mouths are soft compared to the fall // worms & mussels will out fish crabs in the long run // as long as your not on rock piles ><,..,
