We talked about it at my Alcoholics Are Us meeting last night and we all decided that it might actually cut down on how much we'd drink when we went out.
If you think about it, when you go out at 10 to a bar and know that last call is gonna be at 1:30, you're more apt to consume as much alcohol in that short period of time. How many times do you find yourself standing there at 1:29 with 2 drinks in your hand and pound them with the thought that this is your last chance to get 2 more at last call.?.
Now if you know that you have until 4 am, you are more inclined to drink in moderation. I would have a hard time staying awake until 4 in a bar anyhow, so I wouldn't be there until that late any how and wouldn't have that mentality of poundin em while I can.
