Congrats on the first fish, and bummer on the first loss.
Another great feeling, is when somebody calls you, or emails you, or PM's you... I slayed on that plug of yours... I get just as charged when that happens...
I am sure you will be hearing that soon... the danny I have of yours swims pissah.. I know I will have something with sripes on it soon.

Daryl... someone told me... I don't remember who, that you should hang the plug you catch your first fish on immediatley or you will lose it for sure. Thankfully I took that advice. As for what Karl said I'm right there with ya!

Last week I walked down to one of my favorite early season spots to find a guy fishing right where I wanted to be. I walked down and asked him if he'd hooked up. He said no... he had a live herring out and was plugging with one of those storm chug bug poppers. I started fishing down a little from him, knowing he couldn't reach the rip with that popper. I snapped on one of my poppers and fired it out into the rip... pop pop bang! Fish on the first cast... wow you can really throw that plug! He said. Next cast same result and then another. I offered him one to use and on his 10th or so cast bam he was on... felt great to see him hook up after a whole day of the skunk... it was his first fish of the season. I offered him the plug and he handed me 10$ and would not except it back .

It may have been me, Habs told me the same and I have told others.

It's a momentous occasion for sure.

Congrats Daryl now go get a dingy and get out there to get your plug back, or borrow one.

Congrats Redneck!

Got my first stripes this am also! Sure felt great even though it was small. You shoulda saved that plug...it was Slipknot told me to keep the first plug I made and hooked up with and I did! Caught 17 fish with that one that first night all of them over 15 pounds before the split ring pulled out! Good advice Slip and he happened to be there with me!

my luck continued this am. finally bought a tattoo spook. first cast nailed a fish (about 25") got the fish to me, went to lip it, line breaks. now there is a striper swimming around with a brand new tattoo spook in its lip.
