Fishing report from Iowa
Well, I can officially report that there are no stripers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
My father and I did attend a fantastic symphony though. Bruckner's 7th in E Major. After the second movement I jumped up and yelled STRIPED BASS DOT COM!!!
The maestro wasn't impressed. Can't wait to get back to RI

Spence I was in Cedar Rapids a few weeks ago. We drove down from there and spent two nights in Iowa City. That's a nice river you got there--looks like some good cat fishing, brown sleepy water.
Soy farms, hog corn, and hogs.

Spent much of my formative years throwing chicken livers for catfish and bullheads in the river. There are some very large fish that hang out around the dams.
We also used to have a ball hunting large carp barefoot with a frog spear when the river would flood in the late spring. Oh to be 16 again
