A perfect night but nothing but blues

Smokey and ZI fished southern RI Friday night till about 12:30. It seemed like a perfect night for stripers to me. We went fishless till about 10:30 when we got some blues at Weekapaug. They chewed up our eels and only a few were hooked. I kept trying hoping for bass under them but only blues. Finally we went home.

I was intending to go out both Friday and Saturday nights but just too stinkin' tired... At least you got some November fish. I haven't caught anything yet for November ('course I haven't been out either)...it's only looking 50-50 that I might still get out...

Saltheart, I was fishing just east of weekapaug on the incoming and had fish the entire tide, there are some nice cows mixen in up there. All I saw was Peanut Bunker and spearing, fish would not touch Eels. Threw eels without a touch, switched to plugs and we were into them right away...Swimmers and needlefish were the way to go. There are really ALOT of fish around! I fishe Weekapaug on the begining of the drop and did not get a touch, saw some peanut bunker, but not like east of there where the bait was much thicker......

Thanks for the info Cowhunter. Next time down I'll have to mix in some needle fish. Good to know they are still there.

I don't know... The closer we get to delivery (less than three weeks) the closer I want to stay to me wife... 'Course I'd rather be fishing right up until but that is not the smart thing to do ???

John, Poor planning. If you scheduled say a late February delivery you could have fished across the street from the hospital? Yeah like I'd live if I ever tried that

Yeh, well with proper planning I would have worked harder in school instead of having some balance of fun. I would have been rich and married to Cindy Crawford. Then I might be golfing at Pebble Beach across from the Hospital
