Booger sorry to hear about your injury, give me a call when u get a chance, ill be up there in the area in a couple days too.
The only good part about twisting your ankle, and dont take this as medical proof but this is what happened to me.
About 5 years ago I stepped on a garden hose and twisted my right ankle so bad i had to go to emergency, thought it was broken for sure. Tears in my eyes like a little girl. Ended up being just a sprain.no problem. It bothered me for months, but a funny thing happened about a year and a half later. I tripped again & twisted that same ankle, after a couple minutes it didnt even hurt at all, Ive twisted it a few more times since then and I dont feel it anymore, like im immune to it, perhaps I stretched something out so far that before damage is done my reflexes kick in. I know it sounds strange but its true.
So I hope you heal up quick , and maybe that ankle will end up being stronger than before.
