That reminds me, need to have you switch the tip top on my 10 foot Daiwa SealineX to a ceramic one of these days... found a ding in the metal tip.

Thanks for the 965 Slip, I think its gonna replace one of my other reels (been playing with it between the rain and hail).
Still looking for a 975.

what kind of condition are you looking for and around what price are you looking spend?

Actually, out of all the penn reels I own these have held up the best (besides the 50W's). I don't cast with them but put on some PP braid and you have a great fluke reel IMO. All they get is a rinse off and annual service and fresh line each season. They are light and have enough power for deep bottom fishing. I would not get one for surfcasting but I suppose it could be ussed that way. The only issue I have is "the button" could be better designed. I would not buy another one (would get the small gold shimano levelwind) but I think these work good for bottom fishing.

I think they work great as long as you know how to care for a Penn International....
Aka... don't touch anything... just wipe it down and oil it once every couple weeks depending on use.
