you started to strip the plastic levelwind gear.just pop the old off and pop new on. Just make sure you got all the white plastic shavings out.

Mike, the white washer looks good. I didn't strip it badly. I wonder if the smoothies change the distances between parts and the brass gear that turns the white gear is now too far away from it. I havn't had a chance to go to someone to fix it.
