I'm not making any comments on the quality of the Batson blanks as i don't know enough abouty them cause I only have built a few on customer supplied blanks.

I would say though that I think people are crazy to abandon tried and proven products like Lami and loomis and Allstars so quickly over about $30. It happens everytime a new blank comes out at a slightly reduced price. People switch brands instantly over small money . Again , no comment about the blanks , just the idea that people go for unproven stuff for what amounts to chump change when considered in light of all the money we spend on fishing.

I'm not ribbing on Batson, I've built several and have been fishing a 1087. 1088 and 1209 for a few years now and haven't had any problems. I think the $ diff. is more than $30 also.
I contacted Batson via email and he assured me he would resolve the situation. I understand that it is not a perfect world and s$#$! happens. Just hope for the best I guess.

P.S. no ribbibing here, its not about doe , its about a good stick.
If You guys know of another rod that can go from 1to 4
I would like to here about it.
I like the balls of the xra rods good back bone.
But If I walk with a 1083 (have 2) then I got to stick to under to oz and the rod loves 1.7 oz for me.
my 1204 ina awsome needle rod But i wonder if a 3 oz lure will snap it. I toss eels with it and no worrys.
I have a grey graphite lami from 98 and it has a soft action yet back bone and I would'nt mind cutting one to fit a vs 150. I just dont know the model #
any one like 136 2f I have a blank new for trade...

A loomis 1266 will do 1 to 4.
Allstar 1089 will do 1-4

For the most part rods break right a way if they are defective. When rods break after many fish , I think they break cause of the way they are bounced around when being transported or put in and out of vehicles or because you stumble and wack them on rocks , etc. If you are beating the snot out of your rods , you got to figure they may break every now and then

I here you and thanks for the reply, My rods are racked with out reels at home inside
and on the truck they are in holders.
couldnt figure why the rod busted, I actually take care of them the best I can. rocks eat rods and I killed many a lami due to dings ect..
still love the 1088 though .
how do You feel about a xra 1321 and a vs 250?
would that long stick toss a bomber or other lure further than a 9' stick? and the sweet spot.
I have a 1322 in conv but dont use it like i use to , it is from the first or 2nd year they came out.
its to nice to strip and make a spinner but im thinking about it
