Bombers and snaps

I've always tied Bombers direct to the split ring, but would there really be any difference in just removing the split and using a snap...or is this just not as good in the long run?

Lazy minds want to know

thanks,

Try doing that in the dark, its hard enough in the day.Pain in the a$$ trying to get anything with a split ring onto a breakaway.Poppers with a deep cup are also difficult.

Do what BF said.Eliminate the split ring.Or just use a good 'ol coast lock snap.
I'm not a big fan of the breakaways and unfortunately I tied a load of leaders
using them without ever actually seeing if I liked them .

The split on a big Bomber is not easy to get into the small breakaway snap.

I found pulling off a set of stockingfoot neoprenes at 3am easier than trying put
a bomber(with splitring) on a breakaway.

Seriously though... I have partial numbness in my righthand fingers from an accident and I thought the breakaways would be easier.I found just the opposite for me.

Needles, dannys etc. are easier for sure.

for sure you need some dexterity to use them. I am just a big fan of them, not so much on the split rings but in general..(gonna take my split rings off tonight)

Used hard and put away dirty....

I always take the split ring off and use a clip. however if you run out of clips, your screwed unless you tie a perfection loop... a clinch will totally kill the action.
