Yeah, they say that urinating on your feet in the shower will get rid of athlete's foot better than any powder.
T. Orlando---- I'll help you with your wader -foot next time we're out.

My hands have already started peeling from the eels. I think I may have to look into some of that love glove lotion. The woman doesn't like me touchin her with my scrffy hands.

I got tired of that as well, and went to Job Lot and bought a pair of work gloves (the light ones with the blue rubber palms/fingers... I cut the tips off the fingers and thumbs and wear them (not always) when I remember; doesnt help your finger tips but the rest of your hand feels better; on the plus side they are easier to grab eels with...

As far as Pissin on your hands; Dont be offended if I simply wave to you guys....

Also, a guy I used to fish with offshore used to slather neosporene on them at night, slip on some latex gloves and go to sleep... I never took it that far, but whatever floats your boat...

That used to be an old Navy remedy when you spent the night w/ a woman that possessed a, shall we say, Morally Casual attitude. You would give the "equipment" a good rinsedown to help kill any germs that may have hopped aboard.

They teach you that in the service. When we thought we were going to Iran we did some desert training. One of the things was with a spitting cobra, which aims for the eyes to paralyze. We were informed that if you got hit your buddies would hold you down and piss in your eyes Then we were told of its antiseptic qualities. Got lucky though as we didn't have to go. The hostages were released when Reagan took office.

The Neosporene method works wonders, but expensive. Durin the comm season our hands get so chewed up that at night we have to put Neosporene on our hands like hand cream. But wake up in the mornin and your hands ar good to go. Stuff is amazing. Drawback is that a little tube is like 6 beans, good for 2 days.

HO/Baking Soda/Soap

I find this method works very well after a day of fishing where your hands get cut by braid, smelly with bait, and so on.

Take hydrogen peroxide and mix it with baking soda and some liquid (antibacterial) soap. The combination of H0 and soda will remove bait/fish smells since it bonds with the organic molecules that cause such smells, then washes them away. The baking soda softens the skin but still allows the skin to toughen against future cuts. The HO and anti-bacterial soap prevents infections and encourages healing.

A great combination...I keep all three with my fish gear at all times.

By the way, this also a great combination if the family dog every gets sprayed by a skunk.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
