Grudens jacket

I checked out the Grundens Petrus 762 slipover which is a medium weight material with neoprene cuffs and hood. It is similar to Grundens Briggs 34 which is heavy weight material.

Does anyone have any knowledge, opinions or experience on the Petrus 762 ?

They looked nice to me when the Grundens rep stopped by. Much nicer for summertime then the heavy weight material.

I thought about picking it up but we're out of room when it comes to clothing, gotta have room for all of those plugs.

Sounds like you've already found it somewhere, but if you can't get your hands on it anywhere else I can order it for you.

Two years ago I got the Grunden 343 Sund fleece pullover. It's 100% water proof and the material is very flexable. The hood and waist both have draw strings so when worn with waders or rain bibs it keeps you real dry. The cuffs are neoprene so you don't have water running up yur sleeves. With two years of wear on it the coat still looks new. The inside has a light fleece lining which makes it a little warm in the summer but most of the time it's fine. In the summer I wear it with a tee shirt and it's just right when the surfs rolling or raining.

The only place I've found them is at New England Marine and Industry. This page has both the 760 and the Sund.

I've got the Petrus 762 Slipover jacket. I like it very much. Good for the summer and late spring/early fall. Not too heavy, and ease of movement.

The Petrus 763 is a new line to Grundens. It is similiar in material to the Sund Petrus 760 PVC laminated to thin fleece (soft and flexable), however this model has the hood along with the waist draw string.

My delima is the sizing my size is 43,

Medium size (40-42) when worn w/ fleece pullover can be "somewhat" restricting for surfcasting for an extended amount of time but the neoprene sleeves fit perfectly. It would fit better if I had the cold gear turtleneck shirt dedicated for this jacket but I don't want to limit myself to this one under garmet..

Large size (44-46): Sufficient room but the neoprene sleeves are a little loose but still touching the wrist.

There are neoprene wrist/forearm sleeves that I can add under the jackets wrist neoprenes if it leaks.

I find the sizes run small in the shoulder and arm. Plus, I would rather have a looser fit. I'm a size 42 and use a size XXL Petrus pullover. That way I can always wear a fleece pullover under it. It sure has a lot of extra space in the belly area. Now I just bought a pullover Sund. This has two nice draw cords at the bottom to eliminate the tent effect.

I would try Wilcox's in Galliee in Rhode Island or New Bedford Ship Supply in New Bedford. Stores that are near commercial fishing ports that supply goods to fishermen.
It is also similiar to the Grundens Briggs 34 but the material is softer and not stiff.
Remember it is model # 763.

Picked up today at New Bedford Ship Supply at a lowest price I found as compared to other stores.
Very nice pullover.
