Plug Bag mod's
recently got a new top shelf medium size plug bag. metal/ jig pocket had no drainage at all and plug tubes only had one small drain hole. added a couple of stainless gromets to bottom of pocket and drilled a few more holes in tubes and now i have what i think is the nicest bag on market, if you have one, try these mod's and you won't be disappointed. holy smokes- just noticed 2000 posts.

Afterhours - I have the same bag you are talking about. Great bag that is the only thing they forgot. The jig holder pocket fills up with water. I might try your suggestion.

Works with the company that makes green bags as well; I didnt like the 5 small compartments in the belt bag... three 2" PVC pipes holds 3-5 small swimmer/dannys and is much easier to carry...

I may be wrong but I would think that the stainless steel grommets may rust on the edges thus causing the cloth material to corrode. I would suggest a plastic type grommets.
I have the same bag, not with me at this moment but if there a grommets there now then I would think the stainless would be OK depending on the grade steel.
The mod seems to be a good choice if done correctly.
Give us details.

Afterhours--Great mod job!!! That brings it to an "A" bag.
JMHO--But to make it an "A+" bag--Cut shoulder strap off and re-attach with quick release buckles. It would be nice to use sometimes just on the belt. They have the belt loops on there already. When it's hot ---I'd rather not loop myself into the shoulder strap.

Hey guys,
I have spoken with Kadir about the jig pocket drain issue and that will be adressed in a future production run...the gromets were on the list and just plain got missed...
Striper77...I think your idea is a good one...I will say that the Aquaskinz bags are designed for extreme conditions and maximum protection of the good wood. When swimming out to a rock or just hopping around being strapped in two different ways is just part of the Aquaskinz system.

Patrick: Please forward this on: On the backside of the bag above the belt loops, if it were possible to include a velcro flap enclosure that would be outstanding. would make a nice like flap to tuck a boga of 1 ft hand gaf into. (the less %$%$%$%$ I got on my belt the better, no need to look like batman if I can avoid it) If I didnt do a good job of describing it let me know I'll try and set up a visual. Thanks in advance guys.
ps that medium bag holds an ass load of bucktails!!!! I'm lovin my bag!!!

Too many holes in the bottom of the tubes will have u cursin the day u figured out what a drill was for when ur plug gets hooked thru one.
Canyon bags are nice but they donot close securely enough for alot of guys that like to get in the water.I senn my friends plugs float on out of a bag one night not a good thing.I used to fish wit a bungee around my canyon bag.
TT what are u doin throwin bucktails ur name is throwin timber.
U should see how much crap some of the guys at M ware on thier belts its batman extreme ropes chains bogas gaff's pliers small children u name it its on there its a wonder they can cast an not fall over.

Batman! I've often thought that myself. You're right NIB, nothing po's ya worse than trying to pull out a plug that's hooked in the tube. Seems ya gotta dump the whole bag to get it out.

nib- if the holes are small enough there's no way your plugs will hang up. not to mention don't you put your plugs in head down and arse up?

not always that simple i just jam em in there howevr they fit sometimes on/in new area's not familiar. I will use a few different types of plugs plus the standard producers it fills up pretty quick.
i always mess wit my bags I took the insert from the canyon an put it in my older version of my Aquaskins bag.It had zero room for any thin else once the insert was in place.the canyon is a little smallr.they since changed the insert. be carefull wit the AS inserts i left a rubber shad on a jighead in there an it melted thru which sucks.I had a old big canyon an I cut down the big tubes from a B+W bag they where nice big 2" tubes then i had a ton of room in there for jigs an rubbers an stuff. But the velcro on it was this lame little patch.so in more extreme condition I go wit the AS bag on easier beaches i use the canyon
