Maybe some informational stuff like a bio on the different species in our area. Bass, blues, cod, flounder, etc. When they are here, their feeding habits... basic stuff. Include current regs.
Then maybe from there, you could link to articles about specific techniques for them (from our local experts)
Maybe a similar feature for the forage species in the area. When they are here, where they hang out. This would be a great reference. Again, you could link to an article about catching this bait for livelining for example.
The idea of a boating forum is good, but I kinda agree with GS, I wouldn't want to break things up. It seems to flow well already. Someone brought up a "boat fix-it" forum... maybe that would be a better way to handle it.
Something I think would be cool, would be a forum or page where some of us who have fished other areas of the country could post a brief story/article about the trip. Then if others were headed to that area, we could provide some info (i.e. guide info if they were good). My wife's been wanting to go to Bermuda or the Bahamas for a few years... I'd love to be able to see if anyone had been there and knew a bit about possible fishing in that area. By the same token, I've fished the Indian River, FL a couple times and will again in April. I'm becoming fairly knowledgable about the area.
I think a really good thing would be to give us all avenues to voicing our opinions to the regulatory agencies. How can we be heard? Who can we contact? Most people have pretty strong opinions on alot of these issues, but don't know how to voice them. Attending meetings isn't always possible. But if its as easy as sending email, or writing a letter... maybe more of us would get involved.
