Where are you located? I hear there is super sea bass fishing right now in Buzzards bay. Like most fish they school by size and the bigger fish tend to hold in deeper water.

Tony;
What mike said;
go to deeper water, 50-70ft outside the bay (Narragansett) can be killer, go with squid, but a few greenies may get you one of our favorite late fall (and early spring) fish too...

Right on the edges of said rock pile has produced nice fluke over the years as well...

Check your PM's I have a hunch on another spot....

Tony go deep! One way I have caught the bigger ones is by jigging with small diamond jigs, you can tip these with squid too. Its like a mini version of cod fishing.
