I think #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& has summed it up pretty well here and done so in a very diplomatic way. I have learned my lesson and I know Fishaholic18 has too. We had a few good nights this week, we caught more big fish than I have ever taken from the surf in one night. We posted a few of the many pics we took, and poor Dave has been feeling the heat ever since. So as for giving someone a starting point, why don't you start where we did when we found the spot we are fishing.... spend some time scouting, without the rod, find your holes and those little places where the currents makes up a little more than any other place on the beach. We worked hard and put our time in to find these spots, and it has paid off. I won't be posting pics anymore, I'm just as happy to look at everyone else's . I love to fish, I love to fish with new people, I love to help people out, but it really goes up my @$$ sideways when people relentlessly badger you for having a good night.

Mike and Paul - This was not directed at you guys in any way just so you don't get the wrong idea .

Hopefully we'll be hearing that drag sing again tonight

I like to see people with some pictures of their catches and their stories, but nothing specific. I find it amusing to hear about their adventures. Besides, those cow pictures keep me going.

Thumbs down

AS IF HE SHOULD HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT!!!

I agree....I love to look at pics as well...and I will admit getting jealous of seeing people catching nice fish when I am not.....however..it's that same feeling that makes me want one even more, makes me try harder, fish harder and longer.....I fish alone 99% of the time...not because I want to, but because it's hard for me to find guys to fish with sometimes...but that wont stop me from going out there everytime I can to get me my own cow...it will happen...and it will feel that much better when it does...

It's too bad that a few guys will ruin it for everyone else.....I love to look at large!!

I saw a post on another site that asked if there was any action in the North river or is it over for the season. Pretty funny!

I'm also happy to see other peoples fish. As you can see by my number of posts I'm not exactly a seasoned vetern here. I would be lying if I said I joined this site simply for info. I like the interaction of "fish talk" and not revealing spots and posting your catchs is one of the main reasons this site exists.

If I'm fishing with a friend and we both hook up at the same time. I honestly hope that his fish is bigger than mine. This may be due to the fact that I don't catch "cows" often, so big fish are all good to me even if its not on my line. (like when my sister caught a 38 inch bass last year and I caught blue fish and sea robins)

There is something to be said about not making any conversation on the rocks and out of habit I stay off a spot if there are people there, especially Newbies and or chunkers, nothing against either, but regardless our fishing styles probably arent going to jive, so I keep away as much as possible;
on the rocks I am far from a surf sharpie; I do pretty well from a boat and hit it hard and do OK from the surf, but I love being out there on the rocks of sand at night..... I enjoy the solitude, the quiet; there are a handfull of guys I fish with, some more than others, it is always fun, but rarely do we stand shoulder to shoulder fishing, you chat on the walk in and the walk out; the rest of the night, go fish...
My habit is to walk by people I dont know, does it make me rude? maybe no news is bad news or vise versa, but I'll stick to my stealth mode

who knows, you may inadvertanly piss someone off, then the come on here and you realize it was someone who had posted for years, or 10min later they realize they'd been had and tires are popped etc.. there are alot of wack jobs out there...

E; you did better then us; ask BIJ about the adventure too bad... they were there... just didnt get the drift figured out in time....

This really is not necessary. I remember when you originally came aboard, your lips were very looooooossseeee, As were most if not all of us - at first. - JohnR
