staltershoal, its real east to get to M&D's. Its bout 15 minutes from Red Top. He has a map on his site, capecodtackle. I used to be a loyal Red top customer, and i still go there for the convenience sometimes but would rather hit M&d. Cool guy who saved a days fishing for me when my Abu crapped out. He was the only shop within 50 miles that had the part, and fixed it in bout 3 minutes. And if you like pluggage his spot is the place to shop.

Forget Wal-Mart and RedTop....Mike has a nice, small, caring operation that caters to you....the fisherman...period! He is not just the owner, but a friend. Take your hard earned dollars into Mikes and spend them there where they are well spent and hard earned on the other end. Mike and his wife and daughter do all they can do to meet your needs and Mike goes above and beyond to see that you come back over and over!

BigFish, I think that Swimmer was talking abt where he got his free hotdogs from the gas station next to Mike's shop? I don't think that Mike gives out free hot dogs.

I remember when the shop was up the street near the fish market.
Time goes by too fast.

Another story....
I placed an order on the site and made a note on the order that I would like to have it shipped before I went to MV for the weekend. Two days before the trip I get a call saying that there were problems with the order and that the items would never make it by the time I was going to MV. I was then asked if I wanted I could save the shipping and pick it up on the way down because M&Ds is on the way to Falmouth. I asked what time the store opened and they said 6:00 and was concerned about missing my ferry at 7:00. I get to the store at 5:30 getting ready to eat my breakfast and 10 mins later Mike shows up opening up early. There are some shops that would not even call and ship it late nevermind open early (not saying they opened for me but it was still nice) so Kudos to M&Ds!

as larry said, mike and his crew goes way above and beyond to take damned good care of his customers. i wish every merchant in all kinds of business were more like mike and family. if you're in the area stop in, if your not- go anyways it's worth the trip.
