thank you, joe. im going to pick them up at mikecc. hey, pete g told me that kelvar thread would do the trick. if u say that the loose skin goes over the ring, but i just have to elave the sinker exposed?

Yes , you tie it down right behind the lead head. If you tie it close enough ,you can even crimp down the collar of the head over the thread to protect it from the rocky bottom.This is the "Newport style" eel bob. The Clarke or "Jamestown style" has the skin cover the head .DZ schooled me on all of this .... { bows politely to the professor}
