I know what you mean about Francona, what did he ever do for us....Oh Yeah HE GOT US OUR 1ST WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP IN 86 YEARS...and made the Yankees the BIGGEST GOAT IN BASEBALL HISTORY in the process.
Oh Yeah...and The Red Sox are IN 1ST PLACE...and he did it without Schilling and with Foulke s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g wind. Cut the guy some slack will ya. there isn't a single manager that hasn't done something questionable during the year. Until he pinch hits Belhorn for Ortiz he's OK by me.
Guys we don't have to be bitter Sox fans anymore.
By the way...They came out tonight and smacked the orioles all over the place

I agree!!! cut the guy some slack, 1/2 the pitching staff from last year
No Pedro, Schilling, Lowe!!!
Their best pitcher is Wakefield!!! 
If you guys are getting on the Sox likie this after winning the series last year for the 1st time in 86 years,
i can only imagine what will happen when the Raiders beat the snott out of the Patriots in the 1st game of the football season and the pats never recover finishing in last place in the afc east!!! |

not being bitter- just calling a bonehead move a bonehead move. tdf- ya know i love ya but he did'nt deliver us to the promised land singlehandedly. rr- yeah right! i hear that the faiders are getting notes from their mothers so they can stay home.  |

More like the Pats players will be getting doctors notes for the rest of the season because of the beating they took!!!
I talked to my buddy the other day, and he has my ticket for the game!!!

Pedro, Manny, Ortiz,Schilling,and company carried the sox.
How about the brilliant move Theo made dumping Nomar,and the pick up of Cabrera?
I was sorry to see him go he is a better fielder then Edgar.

My grandmother is a better fielder then Edgar. Theo and the boys really tried to "sell" Edgar to us when he came here, but I never bought it. Cabrera would have been a better move - given the money. |

How come when the Sox lose (i.e. Grady Little) its the Managers Fault but when they win its in "Spite" of the manager. Give the guy some credit, he took them where no one else has in the past 86 years.
When the dust settles at the end of the season, if the sox don't make the play-offs, then rip away. I just don't see how you can rip a guy apart for having his team in 1st place at the all-star break.
Don't forget too that he did this while playing the most games on the road of any MLB team in the 1st half. |
