I found a BFT trapped in a tidal pool last year Went about 70lbs. Eyes were clear but let ex try some steaks before I ate it, just to be sure it wasn't a sick fish

not the Hg you gotta worry about. Its the histamine. I wouldn't eat that tuna, but hey, thats just me. For that matter, I wouldn't eat anything I found just lying around, let alone fish. Be careful, man.

I could be talked into that. When you thinking about going? How you plan to fish? Chunk or Troll?

Im interested in that too. I my parents got a place in wells. And I've always wanted to head up there to check it out.. This issue has been discussed before, and always gets guys wanting to go. We should all set up a few dates and locations and try to get some guys out there.

I launched at the ramp in wells 2 weeks ago. No bad.
I usually go out of Mewburyport, but could do either.

I'm thinking sometime towards the end of August. We could split up and try chunking and trolling.

Weather permitting I will be heading out this Saturday if anyone is interested in hooking up in another boat. Will be trolling. Will likely try the mud hole based on info here. Any additional suggestions would be much appreciated.
