Mike:
My wife and I are so sorry for your loss. I wanted my wife to read John''s words about her to see what type of "family" we have here plus it was a heartful tribute of sorts to her. She truly sounds like a very special and unique person. Cherish your memories because you will have those forever. Be strong my friend.

You are in my thoughts Mike, two fine people can rest a bit now, when you are ready to get out you call me. Tough birds with a zest for living always find a way to keep on living and it's tough on those close; but you have to respect that deep down desire to live. My mom was very similar, she fought through all kinds of cancer and the last 4 years were tough to watch, but you just had to admire the will involved and hope it's something she has instilled in you as well. I sighed a long deep sigh of relief the last day as family all watch that tough bird struggle for almost a day, grasping hard for each and every last breath, even though conscious thought had slipped away two days earlier. Ironically, I say conscious, but it was minutes after a call from my brother in Hawaii united that last family member in the room, the will let it go. It was a special momemt and I hope the end was special for you my friend. At peace at last I'm happy for you Mike, it was a long battle for you both.

Mike, was the first member on this site who took me under his wing so to speak. He was so special to my wife Kacie (Starfish) that she couldn't get enough of him. We met him on many occasions and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Not once did he complain about his personal hardships even though we knew.
Mike You ask what she was doing with a guy like you? What everyone sees in you. You made her life from the very first moment you met, a life of joy. A life full of happiness and great memories.
Some of the greatest words I have ever heard came out of your mouth, enjoy what you have. Because of you I have learned to slow down take a look around and just watch. I realize this is how you live your life and your wife did too.
I just want you to know that we are all hear for you anytime anywhere. I will always be grateful for what you have done and Kacie and I and our son Tynan offer our deepest condolences.
Sincerly with deepest regrets,
Casey
