Personally I have had good luck with Yamaha and that would weigh in my own decision. I think they are quieter too. I could be wrong but if the Yamaha is quieter and you are making a long run it could make the trip more pleasurable. Of course the quietest are the 4 stroke hondas by far. Also, it never hurts to peak in the corners and unfinished areas to get a feel for the quality of a boats construction. I used to work on Catalina sailboats and have found more hardware rolling around in the bildges than was used in the construction of the boats. Best salesman is a current owner keep asking around.
